Fashion
Things that we are doing or we will do to test our idea.
First Digital Design:
We already did a test in collab with Peeps Custom trying to represent digitally an already existing outfit.
Becoming a designer takes passion, time, research, and practice. Every designer takes a different approach to the creative process of fashion design, however this is the one that we followed:
Brief: We received the request from a client who wanted us to design an entire outfit around a particular topic: Quentin Tarantino. Our job was to meet the client's demands and create a product design that fit the client's style, values, budget and constraints.
Inspiration: Fashion is more than just the clothing you wear, but the way it is worn and the visual story it tells. Because the outfit was about Quentin Tarantino, american director and screenwriter, we decided to take inspiration from his films which stand out for their stylized violence, sharp dialogue and fascination with cinema and pop culture.
Mood Board: Once we have organized our ideas and inspiration, we started relating the themes. Are there certain textures, colors, patterns, etc. that seem to go together? We organize our ideas by theme, and compile them on a mood board.

Sketching ideas: Sketches help us to start testing combinations, to get into a state of flow where ideas flow and the final design appears. We started doing handdrawing sketching with elements, objects and ideas from the following movies: Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill (Vol. 1 & 2), Fucking Bastards, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Choosing Fabrics: We select the right type of fabric to express properly our design ideas, how they fit, move and fall on the human body. This time we worked with a black polyester jacket and a black jean pants, this garment works well with our textile painting.
Picking Colors: Color is a powerful tool to transmit or communicate. This time we worked on black as it makes a good contrast with the white and the other colors we used. For the iconic phrase ¨Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino¨ we used some yellow and then we painted some details in red as they are usually predominant in the color palette of Tarantino's movies.
Assembling the garment: Construction brings a design to life. once we had the jacket and the jean in our hands we proceeded to intervene manually using methods to ensure that the intervention lasts over time and is not erased by washing (for example).

Garment fitting: We often use fashion models to visualize and conceptualize designs. They allow us to see how the garment fits on a real, three-dimensional person, and provide us with information about the functionality of the garment design, for example, how it feels in terms of size, texture or mobility. If everything is ok, the production starts or in case it's a unique model, the garment is sent to the final buyer.
Digital Design: Once the physical design was finished and approved, we proceeded to do the digital design. We contacted a digital artist and provided him with the measurements of our garments, the molds and other data to perfectly represent the physical design.
Design Process:
To test how the design process would be at the moment of establishing a collaboration, we are doing a simulation where we will document the design process of a t-shirt.
Broadly speaking, the processes we will follow are listed below:
Mood Board / Ideation / Inspiration
Sketching ideas
Choosing fabrics
Choosing colors
Considering silhouettes
Sampling and prototyping
Fit and Review
